separated the combatants at game's end. The Chainsaw Proctologists won by
the slimmest of margins, 5 to 4.
The score was knotted at 4 after nine innings. Chainsaw won the game in the
11th inning. Mark Teahen doubled. After an out was recorded, Humberto
Quintero came up and he slapped a one-base hit giving Chainsaw the victory
and sending the 14,078 home-town fans home happy. Chainsaw had 12 hits for
the night.
John Grabow(1-2) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 1/3 of an inning.
The loss was charged to Jim Johnson(1-4) in relief. He allowed 1 run and 2
hits in 1 and 1/3 innings.
